These are roots of a very large pine tree along the trail at the Hawk Lake Log Chute. My husband and I went hiking there when the log chute restoration opened. An interesting spot with lots of history. I wanted to capture the cool 'greeness' of the place.

This little boathouse on the north shore of Boshkung Lake, like many abandoned things has been torn down. I am glad I was able to paint it before it was gone.

'Along the Trail - Frost Center 2' is actually along the hiking trail at the Frost Center on St. Nora's Lake, not far from where I live. My husband, son and I were hiking here on Thanksgiving weekend of 2006. Maybe it was the company and or the place, but it made an impact on me. A very beautiful spot.
